In the latter 1700’s Quakers were the first settlers to the area where I live, Their style of architecture is still seen in a couple farm houses and other structures. The windows and doors the give away. There is one octagonal house that has been restored and to east up until a short time ago there was an octagonal barn. And the Pioneer Quaker Commentary just as in your pictures. The snow, for me, just makes the images feel ‘homey’.
