The speed of the jumbo jet has floored me. Though safely home in Britain, I have no words today.
Just a handful of memories of the last four spectacular days in New York City.

Great pictures — I like how the people and animals are so prominent when people usually only take pictures of buildings. Says a lot about you. 🙂
Welcome home, Kate. Great shots of my great city. I’m glad I got to hang out with the Shrewsdays.
We had such a great evening. Everyone includes it in the highlights of the stay. Maddie has asked for a cupcake icing set for her birthday…and we have found the perfect place for those beautiful tiles. Thanks again.
The native American indian ( very pc ) seems to be having trouble asking directions at the traffic lights (I bet they are called something different too). I was in the same predicament as him, when we were in NY, and, but for a good map, would be next to him still asking directions back to my hotel to this very day.
One hopes Theodore Roosevelt cn give decent directions, Roger.
I am exhausted just looking at your pics
Our feet did get quite tired, Sidey….
and they always get tired at least 15 minutes before yu can possibly get to a resting place
Hard to believe you’re home already. You just left!
Looking at these photos, I can almost hear the NYC streets sounds around me. I love that you see the little things as well as the grand.
Thanks, PT. I think perhaps the little things are a bit more telling of the character of a place.
So glad you enjoyed your sojourn in the Big Apple. Great pics. Enjoy the lingering flavor of the tastes and textures you experienced.
Thanks, Nancy. We will!
Wonderful and very unusual pictures Kate. Can see you walked a lot….very Englishly 🙂
😀 We did, Madhu, we did…
Great pictures Kate – we might be going over in October – where did you stay?
Holiday Inn, 57th street, Jim. Great place, sartorial taste not uppermost in their list of strengths, but comfortable and with a rooftop pool. We had a great stay.
Cheers Kate – will take a peek!
Did you try a street vendor bagel? Best buy for sure.
You packed a lot into 4 days!
What an excellent adventure! You covered a lot of ground–and sky! 🙂 I loved the photos!
Plenty of ground and sky to cover, Debra….it was a great stay.
You can now add to your credentials that you know who’s who in the New York zoo!
Great photos, Kate. Glad you are home, safe and sound.
