Spacer

I have just written this title and it derailed me. I mean it in the sense that this post is just a few lines long, a tiny snatch of information; but my antennae are up and waving in the direction of this word. There is so much that can be said about it.

Sigh. Another post for another day.

Life has taken off rather, in the last few days. Campaigning for my little church for the forest began with a Facebook page, escalated to radio, and now it’s exploded into great big community photographs and telly.

Blog? Not when my hair looks like this and I have to talk to a regional television camera this afternoon.

The children’s bags are not yet packed for our Euro Disney departure tomorrow evening, and someone has offered me a job interview, complete with a demo lesson to teach, on Monday morning just hours after I hit British soil once more.

It’s all a bit bonkers.

So: I’m going out. I may, or may not, be some time.

  1. CRIKEY!

And I was complaining my life’s too busy.
(Fingers crossed for good interview for TV, good break, and another good interview)

  2. Is a spacer a gap between words to make language in text readable. Ironic that this space of nothing is as important as a space with something like a letter or number. I recall Latin has no spaces, uses all capital letters and word order is insignificant. The must have had more space in their minds than I to process their reading.

  3. Kate, wish we could get your regional TV news. Enjoy Disney!!! – are you going to make SPACE for yourself in Paris?

    1. We managed to get to the Louvre for the day and stroll down the Champs Elysees, Rosemary 🙂 I was a bit too worried about the job interview to enjoy myself unreservedly, so we’re off back to Paris in August.

  4. Oh, my!
There is nothing more appealing to me, or more affective, than a grass roots campaign. Here, here and good luck, Kate, as you proceed with your fight to save your little church in the woods. Then more power to you with your interview and your Euro Disney trip, and, well, I’m thinking of Dorothy in the movie version of the Wizard of Oz. “Lions, and tigers, and bears, oh, my!”.

  5. After all this fame and notoriety on English soil . . . you’ll be happy to hang out with Mickey and the gang. Hope you have a FAB few days and best of luck on your interview.

  6. Oh wow, Kate, your life sounds like a whirlwind – of the best kind! Way to go…and all the very best with every exciting opportunity! We’re behind you all the way, also hoping you have enough time and space to catch your breath in between 🙂 xo

  7. good luck for it all. take some apples in your bag for Disney land – they’ll be the last fresh fruit/veg you’ll see til you get home again!

  8. Living in suspenders regarding how you goggled on the goggle box, how Euro-Dizzy trip went, and how on earth you were able to prepare a lesson during it, and how said lesson went, and how you are surviving under it all!

  9. I know this is a few days late, but good luck with the job interview, good luck with the church and good luck on your trip to Euro Disney. Wow! You are really busy.
