Col: one of my favourite bloggers in the whole entire world. His day job is writing, and he’s a great composer, but he still finds time for really awful rhymes which generally make my day. This man makes words work for their living. Enjoy the latest episode in the Shrewsday Reblog Festival.
(Late entry for the SidevieW weekend theme)
How can you go wrong when you’re doing it right?
With driving in UK or SA you might!
Because in these places one sticks to the left,
Unless of existence you would be bereft!
And doing it right at a banquet can mean,
If you’re to create the politest of scene,
You don’t guzzle all on your plate that you see –
For, doing it right, something left there must be!
On Sunday, House and Garden Show
Showed us some things we didn’t know,
And one we hardly knew at all –
How gard’ning drives one up the wall!
This Durban system comes complete
With pots and frame for them to seat,
And pump and pipes; so water, when
It trickles down, ’s sent up again!
But this takes things a bit too far,
To have a lawn upon your car!

Thanks for the ‘reglog’ and too-kind comments!
All true, Col. Unfortunately I find reblogs do not transfer all that lovely formatting…
Hi, Kate.
I’m enjoying your reglogging and reading the words of others here at Shrewsday mansion. Just in a bit of a “busy bubble” right now with not much time for writing and commenting, but, wanted you to know that there is still life on the Cutoff and enjoyment of all your fine words.
Thanks, Penny. Look forward to seeing you when you’re good and ready 🙂 Have a wonderful time in the real world!
Another excellent pick, Kate.
And now you’ll get into some bloggers who are a bit less familiar to me. This will be great fun.
🙂 Hope you enjoy it, Nancy.
Col put me on to you, and some fun here….
Very glad you came over to take a look, Valerie!
They are shocking aren’t they!
😀
Thank you for directing me to the Colonel’s fun blog Kate 🙂
