Today, we celebrate a new addition to the Shrewsday household: the recording studio. You can listen to the results (minus any soundproofing and a studio door) here:
You have such a rich, classy, high-falutin’ voice, like the queen or at least a duchess. Not like me, who sounds more like Janis Joplin speaking on the telephone.
I support you in your new endeavor. I think you’ll be great reading audio books and other things. May many monies roll in!
I would love to hear you read the epic of the shed destruction. That would be wonderful.
I’m sure that could be arranged 🙂
I love the sound of your voice and hate my own. When I began blogging in 2006, it was a favour and experiment with Podcasting. I kept it up for sometime, but eventually moved over to the written word. I like the sound of your Microphone.
Thanks Grannymar! I think it just comes down to which medium one is most comfortable with. Whenever I write, I hear the words aloud in my head; I am a fan of Alastair Cooke and his Letter From America.
Our microphone, Phil says, is a Thing Of Beauty.

Thanks, Gale! A duchess. Oh, I do like that. I should rename our company TheDuchessCorporation. (Dotcom).
If I ever decide to publish that dumb romance novel, I know who can read it…………
Thanks, friend 😀 Publish and be declaimed!
You give good voice, Kate, so good luck! I would not mind hearing a bark or two from Mac, but I suppose you would not welcome that.
Hmmmm. Mac and a bark. Leave that one with me, Virginia.
Go for it Kate 🙂
Cheers, Wanderlust 🙂
What a wonderful addition to your reporter’s repertoire, Kate! Best of luck with this new endeavor.
Thanks, Nancy. Thinking of laying the Big Al stories down as an audiobook. Let’s see how things pan out!
Excellent!
🙂 Thanks!
This is wonderful! Now we get to hear your voice. That makes me very happy. Thank you.
BTW, what kind of microphone is it?
A Rode NT1A, Michael. As Julie Andrews once said, a very good place to start.

Onwards and upwards for you!

I was a great fan of Alastair Cooke too.
Hurrah! Your words, your voice- you’ll be unstoppable 🙂
Fiona, I’ll settle for a small trickle of money spinners right now!
That’s great, Kate! You have the perfect voice for such endeavours. Good luck! 🙂
Thanks Heather 🙂 At the very least, it’s a bit of adventure.
As one who consumes podcasts and audiobooks with gusto, I certainly wish you well. I could listen to you read all day! 🙂
The voice one uses when around the kittens! That phrase shall live on in our home.
